I was interested to hear that Bryan Cave and Holme Roberts & Owen are joining forces, courtesy of Ron Friedmann.
When I clicked on the link to read this article in Am Law Daily, this is what I saw:
Now I have come to expect pop-up banners on many sites as the price of free content. But in this case, which one do I choose? Friendly old Lexis-Nexis, or the legal hold super-hero?
My first thought was that she was trying to put a hold on this merger.
And what is really going on here, anyway?
It seems like there is a word missing after the headline. I’m thinking it’s “EARTHLINGS!!”
It’s not clear whether she is stopping spoliation by an incoming laser beam, or shooting an electromagnetic burst out of her hand that will freeze automated deletions in their tracks.
And as far as her costume is concerned, I can only say I would like to have seen the other versions that didn’t make it into the ad. I think it is better that I leave it at that.
The company behind the ad, TechLaw Solutions, does not appear to use this action figure on their website. Yet.
A few thoughts about this merger on Thursday. By my count, it’s only the second large merger this year between law firms based in the United States.
